Radio frequency Microneedling

Radio frequency microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that combines traditional microneedling with radio frequency energy.

Radio frequency Microneedling Information

This treatment stimulates collagen production and improves skin texture, firmness, and tone.
The radio frequency energy is delivered through tiny needles that penetrate the skin, creating controlled micro-injuries.

This stimulates the body’s natural healing response and promotes the production of new collagen fibers.

During the procedure, a handheld device with small needles is used to create precise microchannels in the skin.
Combined with appropriate medical grade serums to target the specific skin concern

The radio frequency energy is then delivered through these needles, heating the deeper layers of the skin.

Radio frequency microneedling offers several benefits for the skin. Here are some of the key advantages:

Collagen stimulation:
Radio frequency microneedling stimulates the production of collagen, a protein that provides structure and strength to the skin. Increased collagen production can help improve skin texture, firmness, and elasticity, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Skin tightening:
The heat generated by the radio frequency energy promotes skin tightening by stimulating the contraction of collagen fibers. This can help improve the appearance of sagging skin, giving a more youthful and lifted appearance.

Scar reduction:
Radio frequency microneedling can help reduce the appearance of scars, including acne scars and surgical scars. The controlled micro-injuries and heat energy stimulate collagen remodeling, leading to smoother and more even skin texture.

Improved skin tone and texture:
The combination of microneedling and radio frequency energy can help improve overall skin tone and texture. It can address issues such as rough skin, uneven pigmentation, and enlarged pores, giving the skin a smoother and more refined appearance.

Minimal downtime:
Radio frequency microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that typically requires little down time.
While some redness and mild swelling may occur immediately after the treatment, these effects usually subside within a few hours to a few days.

Suitable for various skin types:
Radio frequency microneedling is safe and effective for different skin types and tones. It can be customized to address specific skin concerns and can be performed on the face, neck, décolletage, and other body areas.

It’s important to note that individual results may vary, and multiple sessions may be required to achieve optimal results.

Microneedling FAQs

Does RF Microneedling hurt?

Prior to Radiofrequency Microneedling, the area will be numbed to reduce any potential discomfort or pain associated with the procedure. Because the needle perforations made in the skin are so tiny, there should not be lasting damage or discomfort. However, you may have some redness and swelling, and you will need to avoid certain skincare products for the next week after treatment.

How many session's will I require?

We will recommend a course of treatment depending on your skin concern, this can typically be 3-8 treatments at 4-6 week intervals. You can expect improvements in the first few weeks after your initial treatment. These improvements will increase over the next six months, as your body continuously produces new collagen.

Can I have Radio Frequency Microneedling with active Acne?

This would not be suitable for anyone with active acne, as this could cause the bacteria to spread.

What areas can be treated?

Micro-needling can essentially be used on any part of the body. The most popular areas to treat are the face, neck, and chest. Micro-needling can also be effective on most types of scarring and stretch marks.

When will I begin to see results?

Generally, patients notice tightening, and a more even tone to their skin (Facial area), a week or two after their first session. For body areas with deeper imperfections, results can be subtler, 3-8 treatments are usually required. Since Micro-needling stimulates new collagen and elastin production, these results will continue to build for up to 6 months.

What is the downtime with this treatment?

After your treatment, your skin may be red and feel warm to touch, this usually lasts up-to 24 hours. A few days post treatment your skin may feel dry and experience some light scabbing, this is completely normal.
