What are skin tags?

Skin tags are common, harmless skin growths that often appear in areas where the skin rubs together. They are most frequently found on the neck, under the arms, beneath the bra line, in the groin area, on the eyelids, and within skin folds.

They are usually soft to the touch and can vary in colour from flesh-toned to dark brown. Skin tags range in size from a few millimetres to several centimetres and may appear slightly raised, flat, or attached to the skin by a small stalk-like stem.
